Where?
Bondi Beach is located in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, Australia — just a quick 25-minute drive from the city center. This world-famous beach is known for its golden sand, clear blue water, and laid-back surf culture. If you're looking for a tourist area or surf watching - this is the spot for you. If you're looking for more of a laid back beach try Manly or Coogee beach.
What to Expect at Bondi
Crowds: Bondi is popular year-round, but especially during Aussie summer (Dec–Feb). Get there early to snag a spot
Vibe: Chill, trendy, and health-conscious. Think sexy surfers, influencers, and locals walking barefoot with acai bowls.
Beach Setup: Lifeguards on duty, showers, public restrooms, grassy picnic areas, and plenty of cafes nearby.
Clothing optional? : there are many topless men and women if you don't know - now you know lol
IG Worthy Photos
Bondi Icebergs Pool – the famous ocean pool perched on the edge of the sea.
Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk – cliffs, coves, and dreamy views.

Things to Do
Activity inspo:
People watch - it is one of the busiest beaches in the area with the biggest waves. You will spot many professional surfers as well as some street performers on the outskirts
For swimming, stay between the red-and-yellow flags for safety - the waves here are NO JOKE
Surfing - Here is the surf lesson company I used and it is highly recommended by many travelers - for beginners
Snorkeling for the people who like more of a laid back experience but still want to experience the ocean
Scuba Dive with sharks or seals with this company
EAT - this beach falls in front of some of the best beach side huts or restaurants
Eat Like a Local
Must-try cafes near Bondi:
Speedos Café – iconic for its photogenic brunches
Melonhead - for the yummiest acai bowls (Coogee)
Bondi Icebergs Dining Room – ocean views + elevated eats
Tottis - If you're in the mood for Italian
El Indio - South American / Columbian street food
What to Pack for Bondi Beach
Sunscreen (SPF 50+) – the Aussie sun is no joke
Swimsuit + towel
Portable fan – yes, it gets HOT
Water bottle
Comfy sandals
A cute tote or beach bag
How to Get There
Train + Bus: Take the train to Bondi Junction, then catch a bus straight to the beach. Super easy and scenic.
Uber/Taxi: Fast but can get pricey during peak hours.
Walk or Bike: The coastal walk from Bronte to Bondi is chef’s kiss if you’re feeling active.
Tips from a First-Time Visitor
Arrive early to snag a good beach spot.
The sun is strongest between 10 AM – 2 PM — reapply that SPF!
Watch for bluebottles (aka jellyfish) during summer — warning signs will be posted
Don’t skip the Bondi to Coogee walk — it’s honestly a highlight
